WHAR WOLF RESCUE
NEW LOCATION UPDATE6/1/2009
As of this update, plans to move WHAR Wolf Rescue continue to progress in an upward state. A lease agreement with the land owner associated with CAI and zootoyou is in the works, and should be in place by 6/6/09. Clean up of the land donated adjacent to the zootoyou compound will begin 6/6/09. We are asking for the public's help in clearing this 1.2 acre parcel of land in preperation for the our WHAR wolves. Starting at 8am on the June 6, everyone is invited to come see the new land which will eventually house the new WHAR Wolf compound. We will be working hard to clear debris and back-fill dirt areas on this day. Those who are interested please show up rested and ready to work bringing gloves, water, and clean up tools. We also have a large need for people to organize donated material on this land. We will be at 2445 Adobe in Paso Robles, from 8am to 12noon (adjacent to the zootoyou compound). Please call us if you have questions.
Additionally, we are pleased to announce that we have secured additional funding from CalTrans for the relocation costs. We have also been helped significantly by all of your grassroots contributions. To date, we still have a deficit, and will need to work hard to continue to fund all aspects of our relocation efforts. If you haven't found a way to help WHAR Wolf Rescue relocate, see the EVENTS PAGE and come participate in the fun - each event helps fund our relocation. Please get involved today.

Archive information on the WHAR Relocation: LAND DONATION REQUIRED!
The property housing WHAR was purchased 11-09-08 by CalTrans Department of Transportation. Immediate help is requested. Previous land opportunity has been revoked. Wolves and hybrids are in need of new location and general land use to survive.
For anyone who may be of service to our mission please do not hesitate to contact us immediately at 805-610-6109. WHAR has only five months to relocate. New location is imperative to continue the WHAR Wolf Rescue mission. All ideas and opportunities are welcome. Please help this grass roots movement today!
Please understand that this move is not elective. The property housing WHAR had to be sold due to eminent domain mandates created by the Highway 46 East expansion. Sale of property was unavoidable. Consequently, WHAR and its inhabitants — fifteen wolf or wolf-mixes —need immediate property for re-housing and sanctuary. Up to two acres of land use would be ideal for the WHAR wolves and their fencing requirements. Detailed plan available for all interested supporters or investors.
